Dr. Hany Hassan is a distinguished Professor of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, renowned for his extensive expertise and dedication to advancing the field. His career is built on a solid foundation from the Faculty of Medicine at Mansoura University, which he has expanded through significant international training and leadership roles in Egypt, the USA, and Germany.
With a philosophy centered on combining proven surgical principles with the latest technological innovations, Dr. Hassan ensures the highest standard of care. He is deeply committed to a patient-first approach, focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes through personalized treatment plans, meticulous surgical technique, and compassionate care.
Beyond the operating room, Dr. Hassan is a dedicated educator and pioneer. Air Force Specialized Hospital.
Pioneered ECMO Program
Initiated and established the first ECMO program in the Egyptian military hospitals at the Air Force Specialized Hospital.
International Fellowship & Department Founder
Visiting physician for ECMO/MCS devices at Hannover Medical School, Germany. Also founded and organized the Cardio-Thoracic department at the Air Force Specialized Hospital.
Consultant of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery
Appointed as a consultant at Maadi Armed Forces Hospital, where he was responsible for pediatric and congenital heart surgery.
First-of-its-Kind Lung Transplant
Assisted Prof. Alain Bisson (France) in performing the first bilateral living-donor lung transplant at Maadi Hospital.
International Fellowship, USA
Visiting physician at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, USA.
